NATS-LA and The Ebell of Los Angeles partner to present In Her Key: Exploring the Challenges and Complexities of Women on Broadway.

Join us on May 1 at 7:30pm for a musical journey you will not want to miss, featuring USC Thornton’s talented vocal students in "Live in the Lounge" of Ebell of Los Angeles. We look forward celebrating women on Broadway as we explore the master works of female composers, lyricists, directors, and playwrights of Musical Theatre who unpack the diverse challenges and complexities in women’s lives. Curated by Karen Parks, Associate Professor for Musical Theatre, Vocal Arts and Opera at USC Thornton School of Music, and CEO and Director of Stagebound, Inc.

Elphaba, Christine, Maria, Angelica...These are some of the first names people mention when considering the most memorable women of Broadway. However, we seldom stop to think of the creators who formed their characters, shaped their stories, and composed their songs. While many female characters on Broadway are celebrated as the driving forces of their musicals, real-life women who create powerful musicals deserve to share the honor. We invite you to join us!
