For the past 30 years, soprano Lori Moran has been a professional singer, actor, voice teacher, recording artist and entrepreneur.
After several years singing with the Disney a cappella group, Voices of Liberty, she toured the world singing on Crystal Cruise Lines, which afforded her the opportunity to visit all 7 continents. In Los Angeles, her private voice and piano studio flourished, and she developed a consortium of teachers, dedicated to developing healthy vocal production in singers of all ages.
Lori’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Florida State University and post-baccalaureate work in Vocal Pedagogy.
Her students consistently receive superior ratings at district, state, regional, and national contests, are regularly accepted into and receive sizable scholarships from highly respected college music and theater programs (San Francisco Conservatory, NYU, UCLA, USC, Berklee, Yale, University of Michigan, etc.). Many have gone on to perform on- and off-Broadway, and grace some of the world's most prestigious stages.
A certified and accredited teacher, Lori has taught vocal and instrumental music in public and private schools, conducted church choirs and orchestras, and served as judge & clinician for a variety of competitions, companies and associations, including the Florida State Music Teachers' Association, The California VoCal Competition, The Walt Disney Company and the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS). She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, Actors' Equity Association, Screen Actors' Guild-AFTRA, and National Association of Teachers of Singing - Los Angeles and Central Florida chapters. She has served on the board of the NATS-LA in various capacities since 2011.
Lori's unusually versatile voice has served her well in her performance career. A regular session singer, Lori has recorded feature solo and background vocal tracks for many top artists in the pop, jazz, and classical genres, in commercials and for motion pictures, including 2012; Percy Jackson & The Olympians; Iron Man II; and Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice. She has been a featured soloist for the Florida Symphony Orchestra, the Tampa Bay Oratorio, and the Orlando Opera Company. Among her musical theater credits are the roles of Christine in Phantom of the Opera; Adelaide in Guys & Dolls; Laurie in Oklahoma; Fantine in Les Miserables; Fanny Bryce in Funny Girl; Sally Bowles in Cabaret; and Dolly Levi in Hello, Dolly.
